In case you haven’t noticed, I love AI artwork. Who knew that this type of technology could be controversial amongst the artist community? But then again, I love all things controversial, so it’s nothing new.
In Volume I, I have over eighty AI generated images. Seventy-eight of them were generated by yours truly, the other two (better images) were created by @allyreads. The cover was generated using one of @allyreads beautiful images and getcovers.com. All images are copyrighted @ 2023 Danielle Stoian. However, feel free to use them for your personal smut reasons, don’t be shy.
This is just an inside look of how I generate my AI images. Am I a professional…? No. Am I probably doing this incorrectly…? Absolutely.
Step #1: I create a base image. Sometimes I use a text-to-image function using an AI art generator, other times, I sketch my own images and use an image-to-image translation. The image to the right shows a quick sketch I generated on procreate of a ‘galaxy’ pri
Step #2: After a ‘few’ adjustments and tweaking the settings, the AI art generator will produce a second image. As you can see from my example on the right, the tool is not exactly magic. There are always ’some flaws’, whether it’s random shapes in space or extra limbs on human (or non-human) bodies.
Step #3: I import images back into procreate, where I make adjustments. I remove the extra fingers, the random floating cows, the little goblins hiding in the background, etc.
Please note that this is a very simple example. I’m a real life magician on procreate and an ‘artist’ by trade so most of the time, this process takes me hours for each image.
Step #4: After I have adjusted my image, I put it back into the image-to-image AI art generator. This process gets repeated multiple times, each time I add more details until I get frustrated or my eyes start to cross.
Eventually, I get bored of this process and I decide that the image is finished. The End!
If you’re a fan of the artwork, feel free to check back in at a later date. I have at least 50+ images/sketches that didn’t make it into the book that would still like to publish to the world.
